SUSE SLED12 / SLES12 Security Update : openssl-1_1 (SUSE-SU-2019:1141-1)

high Nessus Plugin ID 124646

Language:

Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

This update for openssl-1_1 to version 1.1.1b fixes the following issues :

Changed the info callback signals for the start and end of a post-handshake message exchange in TLSv1.3.

Fixed a bug in DTLS over SCTP. This breaks interoperability with older versions of OpenSSL like OpenSSL 1.1.0 and OpenSSL 1.0.2.

Fixed the handling of strerror_r with glibc.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the SUSE security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
