A permissions issue was addressed by removing the vulnerable code. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, macOS Tahoe 26.7. An app may be able to read files outside of its sandbox.

The remote host is running a version of macOS / Mac OS X that is 15.x prior to 15.8. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

  - A validation issue existed in the entitlement verification. This issue was addressed with improved validation of the process entitlement. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. A malicious app may be able to break out of its sandbox. (CVE-2026-65381)

  - A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in Samba within the GSSAPI unwrap_des() and unwrap_des3() routines of Heimdal. The DES and Triple-DES decryption routines in the Heimdal GSSAPI library allow a length-limited write buffer overflow on malloc() allocated memory when presented with a maliciously small packet. This flaw allows a remote user to send specially crafted malicious data to the application, possibly resulting in a denial of service (DoS) attack. (CVE-2022-3437)

  - An authentication issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7, visionOS 27. An app may be able to use the Sign In With Apple authentication flow to access the user's Apple Account. (CVE-2026-20683)

  - A logic issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, macOS Tahoe 26.7. An app may bypass Gatekeeper checks. (CVE-2026-28899)

  - A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.5.
An app may be able to access protected user data. (CVE-2026-28930)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the operating system's self-reported version number.

  - A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. Mounting a malicious disk image may cause unexpected system termination. (CVE-2026-28934)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the operating system's self-reported version number.

The remote host is running a version of macOS / Mac OS X that is 26.x prior to 26.6. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

  - A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. Connecting to a malicious afpfs server may lead to kernel memory corruption. (CVE-2026-43815)

  - Double Free and possible RCE vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server with the HTTP/2 protocol. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: 2.4.66. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.67, which fixes the issue. (CVE-2026-23918)

  - The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. A malicious app may be able to corrupt memory of a system process. (CVE-2026-28911)

  - A logic issue was addressed with improved restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.7, macOS Tahoe 26.6. A user may be able to elevate privileges. (CVE-2026-28912)

The remote host is running a version of macOS / Mac OS X that is 15.x prior to 15.7.8.

  - When doing multi-threaded LDAPS transfers (LDAP over TLS) with libcurl, changing TLS options in one thread would inadvertently change them globally and therefore possibly also affect other concurrently setup transfers. Disabling certificate verification for a specific transfer could unintentionally disable the feature for other threads as well. (CVE-2025-14017)

  - When doing TLS related transfers with reused easy or multi handles and altering the `CURLSSLOPT_NO_PARTIALCHAIN` option, libcurl could accidentally reuse a CA store cached in memory for which the partial chain option was reversed. Contrary to the user's wishes and expectations. This could make libcurl find and accept a trust chain that it otherwise would not. (CVE-2025-14819)

  - An access issue was addressed with additional sandbox restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.
An app may be able to access sensitive user data. (CVE-2025-43325)

  - An information disclosure issue was addressed with improved privacy controls. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.3. An app may be able to access sensitive user data.
    (CVE-2026-20672)
