Missing sanitization of HTML attributes in Jupyter notebooks in all versions of GitLab CE/EE since version 14.5 allows an attacker to perform arbitrary HTTP POST requests on a user's behalf leading to potential account takeover

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

  - Missing sanitization of HTML attributes in Jupyter notebooks in all versions of GitLab CE/EE since version     14.5 allows an attacker to perform arbitrary HTTP POST requests on a user's behalf leading to potential     account takeover (CVE-2022-0427)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

  - Missing sanitization of HTML attributes in Jupyter notebooks in all versions of GitLab CE/EE since version     14.5 allows an attacker to perform arbitrary HTTP POST requests on a user's behalf leading to potential     account takeover (CVE-2022-0427)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

The version of FreeBSD installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 3507bfb3-85d5-11ec-8c9c-001b217b3468 advisory.

  - An authorization logic error in the External Status Check API in GitLab EE affecting all versions starting     from 14.1 before 14.3.6, all versions starting from 14.4 before 14.4.4, all versions starting from 14.5     before 14.5.2, allowed a user to update the status of the check via an API call (CVE-2021-39943)

  - An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 8.11 before 14.3.6, all     versions starting from 14.4 before 14.4.4, all versions starting from 14.5 before 14.5.2. Under specific     condition an unauthorised project member was allowed to delete a protected branches due to a business     logic error. (CVE-2021-39931)

  - An issue has been discovered affecting GitLab versions prior to 14.4.5, between 14.5.0 and 14.5.3, and     between 14.6.0 and 14.6.1. GitLab does not validate SSL certificates for some of external CI services     which makes it possible to perform MitM attacks on connections to these external services. (CVE-2022-0123)

  - A vulnerability was discovered in GitLab versions 10.5 to 14.5.4, 14.6 to 14.6.4, and 14.7 to 14.7.1.
    GitLab was vulnerable to a blind SSRF attack through the Project Import feature. (CVE-2022-0136)

  - A vulnerability was discovered in GitLab starting with version 12. GitLab was vulnerable to a blind SSRF     attack since requests to shared address space were not blocked. (CVE-2022-0249)
