Main

Recently, Tenable added support for local security checks for the Scientific Linux operating system. This new family of plugins was developed to provide checks for the SL security updates (SLSU), which gives you a centralized view into your SL installation base.

This report depends on the creation of a dynamic asset list named "Scientific Linux Systems." You will need to create this asset with the following clause: Operating System is equal to Scientific Linux. After an operating system enumeration scan of your network, these systems will be detected and added automatically to the asset list as they are discovered.

Asset_list
The first part of this report is a table listing all systems in the Scientific Linux Systems dynamic asset list. Each host identified as Scientific Linux is included, along with its domain name and vulnerability information.

Next is a seven day trend (line chart) displaying a breakdown of SLSU vulnerabilities by severity for all SL systems.

Finally, each host is listed with its IP, DNS and MAC addresses, repository, last scan date, and a complete list of vulnerabilities discovered.

Details
Also included in this system iteration are the services detected by Nessus as active and listening.
