The Passive Vulnerability Scanner detects a wide variety of devices as they browse the network. Passively obtained user-agent strings can not only identify which types of mobile devices have been plugged into your network, they can also be used to identify various applications installed on the devices.
In this dashboard, two charts are used to display the presence and trend of mobile device usage for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices.
The first chart leverages five asset groups, a column to count the number of systems in each group and then a percentage bar which leverages plugins detected by the PVS along with text filters to identify the presence of various device types.
The second chart trends the presence of unique device types which match user agent strings from iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices.
