Synopsis

The remote host is running a version of HAProxy that is affected by a Denial of Service (DoS) attack vector.

Description

The version of HAProxy installed is 1.7.x prior to 1.7.3, and is affected by a NULL pointer dereference flaw in the 'hlua_applet_http_new()' function in 'hlua.c' that is triggered during the handling of a specially crafted HTTP GET request. This may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

Solution

Upgrade to HAProxy version 1.7.3 or higher.
