Synopsis

The remote host may give an attacker information useful for future attacks.

Description

The remote host is running the AS400 (version 4.5 or higher) POP3 server. This version of the POP daemon is vulnerable to an information disclosure flaw. An attacker can gain information about valid accounts, accounts with expired passwords, system accounts by querying the POP server. This information can be useful in other attacks that require a user ID and/or password.
