Joomla! 4.x < 4.2.7 Multiple Vulnerabilities

medium Web App Scanning Plugin ID 113570

Synopsis

Joomla! 4.x < 4.2.7 Multiple Vulnerabilities

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of Joomla! running on the remote web server is 4.x prior to 4.2.7. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

- A missing token check causes a CSRF vulnerability in the handling of post-installation messages. (CVE-2023-23750)

- A missing ACL check allows non super-admin users to access com_actionlogs. (CVE-2023-23751)

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Joomla! version 4.2.7 or latest.
