The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

  - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix skb_copy_ubufs() vs BIG TCP     David Ahern reported crashes in skb_copy_ubufs() caused by TCP tx zerocopy using hugepages, and skb length     bigger than ~68 KB. skb_copy_ubufs() assumed it could copy all payload using up to MAX_SKB_FRAGS order-0     pages. This assumption broke when BIG TCP was able to put up to 512 KB per skb. We did not hit this bug at     Google because we use CONFIG_MAX_SKB_FRAGS=45 and limit gso_max_size to 180000. A solution is to use     higher order pages if needed. v2: add missing __GFP_COMP, or we leak memory. (CVE-2023-53669)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.

It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ALAS2023-2023-184 advisory.

    There is a potential deadlock in the eBPF subsystem in the Linux kernel.

Unprivileged local users     can obtain root privileges. This occurs because anonymous sets are mishandled. (CVE-2023-32233)

    An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.3.3. There is an out-of-bounds read in crc16 in     lib/crc16.c when called from fs/ext4/super.c because ext4_group_desc_csum does not properly check an     offset. (CVE-2023-34256)
