There are packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability referenced in the following CVE:

  - UltraJSON is a fast JSON encoder and decoder written in pure C with bindings for Python 3.7+. Prior to
    5.12.1, when ujson.dump() writes to a file-like object and the write operation raises an exception, the
    serialized JSON string object is not decremented, leaking memory. Each failed write operation leaks the
    full size of the serialized payload. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.12.1. (CVE-2026-44660)

An update of the python3 package has been released.

The remote SUSE Linux SLED15 / SLED_SAP15 / SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2026:3539-1 advisory.

    This update for python-ujson fixes the following issue:

    - CVE-2026-44660: memory leak in `ujson.dump()` on write failure can lead to DoS (bsc#1270301).

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the SUSE security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

The remote openSUSE 16 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE- SU-2026:21518-1 advisory.

    This update for python-ujson fixes the following issue:

    - CVE-2026-44660: failing to decrement a serialized JSON object during a write exception in ujson.dump()     can lead to       memory leaks (bsc#1270301).
