Description

CWE-754 Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability exists that could cause remote code execution, denial of service, and loss of confidentiality and integrity of the RTU controller when an unauthenticated attacker sends specially crafted Modbus TCP packets to the device.

Update SCADAPack 47x and 47xi firmware to version 9.12.2 or later (distributed as RemoteConnect release R3.4.2). For SCADAPack 57x, no firmware fix is available at the time of advisory publication; apply network segmentation, enable the RTU firewall service to block unauthorized Modbus TCP access, and disable the logic debug service per the vendor advisory.
