MariaDB Server 10.0.x < 10.0.20 DoS

Medium Nessus Network Monitor Plugin ID 9282

The remote database server is affected by a Denial of Service (DoS) attack vector.

MariaDB is a community-developed fork of the MySQL relational database. The version of MariaDB installed on the remote host is earlier than 10.0.20, and is therefore affected by a flaw that is triggered when 'sys_var_pluginvar::plugin' is not properly initialized, leading to a race condition between 'INSTALL PLUGIN' and 'SET', resulting in an uninitialized memory reference. This may allow an authenticated attacker to crash the server.

Upgrade to version 10.0.20 or later.
