Ubuntu 17.04 : samba vulnerability (USN-3267-1)

Low Nessus Plugin ID 99685

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Jann Horn discovered that Samba incorrectly handled symlinks. An authenticated remote attacker could use this issue to access files on the server outside of the exported directories.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Update the affected samba package.
