Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

In some cases, the MCPD binary cache may allow a user with Advanced Shell access to temporarily obtain normally unrecoverable information.
(CVE-2016-7474)

Impact

A local user may have access to sensitive data such as passwords for recently created local user accounts and passphrases that have been set since the last reboot.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K52180214.
