New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

SynopsisThe remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.
DescriptionThe remote Windows host is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability in the Microsoft Server Message Block 1.0 (SMBv1) Server due to improper handling of certain requests. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via specially crafted packets, to cause a denial of service condition or the execution of arbitrary code.
SolutionMicrosoft has released a set of patches for Windows Vista, 2008, 7, 2008 R2, 2012, 8.1, RT 8.1, 2012 R2, and 10.
