Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

According to its self-reported version number and configuration, the remote Juniper Junos device is affected by a denial of service vulnerability when a GRE or IPIP tunnel is configured. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a specially crafted ICMP packet, to cause a kernel panic, resulting in a denial of service condition.
