New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.
VPR Score: 6.7
Synopsis
The remote Windows host is affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability.
Description
The remote Windows host is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Windows Secondary Logon Service due to improper management of requests in memory. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a specially crafted application, to gain elevated privileges, allowing the execution of arbitrary code.
Solution
Microsoft has released a set of patches for Windows 10.
