high Nessus Plugin ID 89256

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing a security update.

Description

Moderate security issues fixed in this update. Faster handling of some common elliptic curves enabled on 64 bit architectures. Improved Makefile.certificate to not use serial number 0 by default.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected openssl package.
