The remote Windows host is affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) due to improper handling of objects in memory. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by logging on via RDP and sending specially crafted data over the authenticated connection, resulting in an elevation of privilege.


Microsoft has released a set of patches for Windows 7, 2012, 8.1, 2012 R2, and 10.
