Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for clutter.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2015:1510 advisory.

Clutter is a library for creating fast, visually rich, graphical user interfaces. Clutter is used for rendering the GNOME desktop environment.

A flaw was found in the way clutter processed certain mouse and touch gestures. An attacker could use this flaw to bypass the screen lock.

All clutter users are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which contain a backported patch to correct this issue. After installing the update, all applications using clutter must be restarted for the update to take effect.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
