Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the remote Juniper Junos SRX series device is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability due to a flaw in Dynamic VPN. A remote attacker can exploit this to view sensitive information or session credentials.

Note that this issue only affects Junos devices with Dynamic VPN enabled.

Solution

Apply the relevant Junos software release or workaround referenced in Juniper advisory JSA10677.
