Synopsis

The remote host contains an application that is affected by a code execution vulnerability.

Description

The version of Apple iTunes on the remote host is prior to version 11.1. It is, therefore, affected by a memory corruption vulnerability in the iTunes ActiveX control. By using a specially crafted web site, a remote attacker can exploit this to cause a denial of service or to execute arbitrary code.

Solution

Upgrade to Apple iTunes 11.1 or later.
