critical Nessus Plugin ID 55907
New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)

Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it is different from CVSS.

VPR Score: 7.4

The HP iNode Management Center running on the remote host is susceptible to a buffer overflow attack.

The remote host is running an instance of HP iNode Management Center that is affected by a remote buffer overflow vulnerability. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can send a specially crafted packet that could result in a stack-based buffer overflow. A successful attack will allow the attacker to run arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.

Upgrade to iNode Management Center 5.00.0103, which is distributed with UAM 5.0 SP1 E0101P03 and EAD 5.0 SP1 E0101P03.
