MS11-060: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Visio Could Allow Remote Code Execution (2560978)

High Nessus Plugin ID 55790

New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)

Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

VPR Score: 6.7

Synopsis

Arbitrary code can be executed on the remote Windows host through Visio.

Description

The remote host contains a version of Microsoft Visio that is affected by multiple remote code execution vulnerabilities.

A remote attacker could exploit these issues by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted Microsoft Visio file, resulting in arbitrary code execution.

Solution

Microsoft has released patches for Visio 2003, 2007, and 2010.
