New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

SynopsisThe remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related patches.
DescriptionJuan Pablo Lopez Yacubian discovered that Firefox did not properly display invalid URLs. If a user were tricked into accessing a malicious website, an attacker could exploit this to spoof the location bar, such as in a phishing attack. Furthermore, if the malicious website had a valid SSL certificate, Firefox would display the spoofed page as trusted.
Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
