Synopsis

The integrated development environment installed on the remote host is affected by a certificate validation vulnerability.

Description

The version of JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA installed on the remote host is prior to 2026.2.4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability:

 - In JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2026.3 and 2026.2.4, the jetbrainsd daemon trusted compromised intermediate certificates. (CVE-2026-118697)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA version 2026.2.4 or later.
