Synopsis

A Python library installed on the remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The detected version of the Django Python package is 5.2.x at or above 5.2.13 and prior to 5.2.19, or 6.0.x at or above 6.0.4 and prior to 6.0.10, or 6.1.x prior to 6.1.3. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability as referenced by the security release advisory:

 - django.http.multipartparser.MultiPartParser is subject to excessive memory consumption when processing multipart file uploads with base64 Content-Transfer-Encoding, which could be buffered entirely in memory before being passed to upload handlers. (CVE-2026-108147)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Django version 5.2.19, 6.0.10, 6.1.3 or later.
