Synopsis

The remote host is running a web application that is affected by an authorization bypass vulnerability.

Description

The version of Apache ActiveMQ running on the remote host is 5.19.x prior to 5.19.12, or 6.3.x prior to 6.3.3. It is, therefore, affected by an authorization bypass vulnerability.

- Input validation vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ configured to use the LDAPAuthorizationMapPlugin allows an authenticated attacker to create or address a destination with a crafted name containing LDAP DN special characters (such as comma, plus, equals, backslash) can manipulate the LDAP search base used for ACL lookups.

Solution

Upgrade to Apache ActiveMQ version 5.19.12, 6.3.3, 6.4.0, or later.
