critical Nessus Plugin ID 375687

Synopsis

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed with a vulnerability that the vendor indicates will not be patched.

Description

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

- CGI versions before 5.00 for Perl allow Content-Disposition parameter injection via unescaped double quotes in the header attachment filename. header(-attachment => $name) writes $name into the quoted filename parameter of Content-Disposition without escaping double quotes. An application that passes request data as the attachment name can be made to send a second filename parameter, changing the name the response is saved under. (CVE-2026-120647)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.

Solution

There is no known solution at this time.
