Synopsis

A VPN client installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Palo Alto GlobalProtect App installed on the remote Windows host is 6.0.x prior to 6.0.15, 6.2.x prior to 6.2.8-h15, or 6.3.x prior to 6.3.3-h16. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability:

 - A type confusion vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect app on Windows enables a local user with low privileges to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. (CVE-2026-0314)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Palo Alto GlobalProtect App version 6.0.15, 6.2.8-h15, 6.3.3-h16 or later.
