high Nessus Plugin ID 369537

Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for pki-core.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2026:86623 advisory.

The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Core contains fundamental packages required by Red Hat Certificate System.

Security Fix(es):

* pki-core: Dogtag/PKI: certprofile-import allows code execution via unsanitized profile content (ExternalProcessConstraint) (CVE-2026-76561)

* pki-core: Dogtag PKI v2 REST ACL filter's reverse-lexicographic tie-break lets a CA Agent invoke the admin-only raw profile creation endpoint (CVE-2026-80110)

For more details about the security issue(s), including the impact, a CVSS score, acknowledgments, and other related information, refer to the CVE page(s) listed in the References section.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Red Hat Enterprise Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL pki-core package based on the guidance in RHSA-2026:86623.
