Fedora 45 : NetworkManager / plasma-nm (2026-683cb404da)

high Nessus Plugin ID 366694

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Fedora 45 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FEDORA-2026-683cb404da advisory.

The NM-fortisslvpn and NM-vpnc VPN plugins are being retired in Fedora 45. Add Obsoletes: lines for them in the NetworkManager package so that they are removed when upgrading (also for the related GNOME packages). Also update plasma-nm to remove the related packages for Plasma.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected 1:NetworkManager and / or plasma-nm packages.
