Splunk Enterprise 10.4.0 < 10.4.3 (SVD-2026-1001)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 364458

Synopsis

An application running on a remote web server host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Splunk Enterprise installed on the remote host is 10.4.x prior to 10.4.3. Splunk Enterprise 10.2.x, 10.0.x, and 9.4.x are not affected. It is, therefore, affected by a SQL injection vulnerability as referenced in the SVD-2026-1001 advisory. A user that holds a role with the list_spl2_modules capability could use SQL injection in SPL2 module filtering to access data available through the affected REST API, including private SPL2 module definitions belonging to other users. (CVE-2026-76270)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade Splunk Enterprise to version 10.4.3 or later.
