The remote application is affected by a path traversal vulnerability.

Description

The version of Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager installed on the remote host is 6.14.x prior to 6.14.1. It is, therefore, affected by a path traversal vulnerability as referenced in the HPESBNW05158 advisory.

- An authenticated path traversal vulnerability exists in the command line interface of ClearPass Policy Manager. Successful exploitation could allow a low-privileged authenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges on the underlying operating system. (CVE-2026-79800)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager version 6.14.1 or later.
