Description

The remote CentOS Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the sudo-1.9.17p2-5.el9 build changelog.

- TZ environment variable allows bypass of NOTBEFORE/NOTAFTER time-based authorization [rhel-9.10] (CVE-2026-96512)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the CentOS 9 Stream sudo package.
