Synopsis
The Rocky Linux host is missing one or more security updates.Description
The Rocky Linux 9.6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.6:CLSA-2026:1784192091 advisory.- The fix for CVE-2026-2443 was regressed by a subsequent rework commit that replaced specific overflow checks with a general signed comparison. When a client sends a Range request with a suffix length exceeding the content size, the resulting negative start value is not properly clamped, leading to malformed HTTP 206 responses and log flooding. (CVE-2026-12549)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
