Synopsis

The CentOS Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The CentOS Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TuxCare CENTOS7:CLSA-2026:1778021665 advisory.

- Vim is an open source, command line text editor. Prior to 9.2.0316, a command injection vulnerability in Vim's netbeans interface allows a malicious netbeans server to execute arbitrary Ex commands when Vim connects to it, via unsanitized strings in the defineAnnoType and specialKeys protocol messages. This vulnerability is fixed in 9.2.0316. (CVE-2026-39881)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory CENTOS7:CLSA-2026:1778021665.
