Synopsis
The Rocky Linux host is missing one or more security updates.Description
The Rocky Linux 9.6 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.6:CLSA-2026:1786717202 advisory.- A flaw was found in spice-vdagent. A malicious or compromised SPICE host can trigger an integer overflow by sending a specially crafted message. This vulnerability can lead to a heap buffer overflow, causing the spice-vdagent daemon to crash and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the virtual machine. This issue requires the SPICE host to be untrusted or compromised for exploitation. (CVE-2026-57965)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
