Synopsis

The CentOS Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The CentOS Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TuxCare CENTOS6:CLSA-2026:1771238245 advisory.

- In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btsdio: fix use after free bug in btsdio_remove due to race condition In btsdio_probe, the data->work is bound with btsdio_work. It will be started in btsdio_send_frame. If the btsdio_remove runs with a unfinished work, there may be a race condition that hdev is freed but used in btsdio_work. Fix it by canceling the work before do cleanup in btsdio_remove. (CVE-2023-53145)

- In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ubi: ensure that VID header offset + VID header size <= alloc, size Ensure that the VID header offset + VID header size does not exceed the allocated area to avoid slab OOB. - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix use-after-free KFENCE violation during sysfs firmware write During the sysfs firmware write process, a use-after-free read warning is logged from the lpfc_wr_object() routine: BUG: KFENCE: use-after-free read in lpfc_wr_object+0x235/0x310 [lpfc] Use-after-free read at 0x0000000000cf164d (in kfence-#111):

Fix by moving the mailbox free calls to the end of the routine ensuring that we don't reference internal mailbox memory after release. (CVE-2023-53282)

- In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ses: Fix slab-out-of-bounds in ses_intf_remove() A fix for: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ses_intf_remove+0x23f/0x270 [ses] Read of size 8 at addr ffff88a10d32e5d8 by task rmmod/12013 When edev->components is zero, accessing edev->component[0] members is wrong. (CVE-2023-53521)

- In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ses: Fix possible desc_ptr out- of-bounds accesses Sanitize possible desc_ptr out-of-bounds accesses in ses_enclosure_data_process().
(CVE-2023-53675)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
