Unity Linux 20.1050e / 20.1060e / 20.1070e Security Update: python (UTSA-2026-090108)

high Nessus Plugin ID 348872

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-090108 advisory.

Python-RSA before 4.1 ignores leading '\0' bytes during decryption of ciphertext. This could conceivably have a security-relevant impact, e.g., by helping an attacker to infer that an application uses Python- RSA, or if the length of accepted ciphertext affects application behavior (such as by causing excessive memory allocation).

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python package.
