Synopsis

The Adobe InDesign instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe InDesign installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 20.5.5, 21.6.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB26-145 advisory.

- InDesign Desktop is affected by a NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability that could result in an application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to crash the application, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2026-76192, CVE-2026-84396)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe InDesign version 20.5.5, 21.6.0 or later.
