Description

The Microsoft Azure CLI installation on the remote host is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by a command injection vulnerability:

- Improper neutralization of special elements used in a command ('command injection') in Microsoft Azure CLI allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2026-83948)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the Azure CLI to version 2.2.1 or later.
