Synopsis

The Microsoft Publisher Products are affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The Microsoft Publisher Products are missing a security update. They are, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - Integer overflow or wraparound in Microsoft Office Publisher allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2026-69742)

 - Deserialization of untrusted data in Microsoft Office Publisher allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2026-81385)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Microsoft has released KB5002644 to address this issue.
