Synopsis

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed with a vulnerability that the vendor indicates will not be patched.

Description

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

 - Internally found bugs present in Thunderbird 154 and Thunderbird ESR 153.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption or another security-relevant defect and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 155, Firefox ESR 153.2, Thunderbird 155, and Thunderbird 153.2. (CVE-2026-84144)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.
