Synopsis

The Spring Framework install on the remote host is affected by a memory leak vulnerability.

Description

The version of Spring Framework installed on the remote host is 5.2.x prior to 5.2.26, 5.3.x prior to 5.3.50, 6.0.x prior to 6.0.31, 6.1.x prior to 6.1.29, 6.2.x prior to 6.2.20, or 7.0.x prior to 7.0.8.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability:

- A Spring RSocket application is exposed to a memory leak via a malformed SETUP frame. (CVE-2026-47888)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Spring Framework version 5.2.26 / 5.3.50 / 6.0.31 / 6.1.29 / 6.2.20 / 7.0.8.1 / 7.0.9 or later. Note that some fixed releases are available to Enterprise Support customers only; refer to the vendor advisory for details.
