Synopsis

A monitoring application installed on the remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Zabbix Server installed on the remote host is 6.0.x prior to 6.0.47, 7.0.x prior to 7.0.27, or 7.4.x prior to 7.4.11. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability:

 - An authenticated administrator is able to crash Zabbix server by creating specifically crafted preprocessing/script item JavaScript scripts, leading to potential denial of service. (CVE-2026-23938)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Zabbix version 6.0.47, 7.0.27, 7.4.11 or later.
