Synopsis

A monitoring application installed on the remote host is affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability.

Description

The version of Zabbix Server installed on the remote host is 7.0.x prior to 7.0.28, or 7.4.x prior to 7.4.12. It is, therefore, affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability:

 - A Zabbix administrator is able to read out of bounds memory by utilizing a flaw in script item/preprocessing (JavaScript) HttpRequest logic, leading to potential confidentiality loss. (CVE-2026-23935)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Zabbix version 7.0.28, 7.4.12 or later.
