Synopsis

Description

The version of Firefox installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 154.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2026-74 advisory.

 - Internally found bugs present in Firefox ESR 115.38, Firefox ESR 140.13, Firefox ESR 153.0 and Firefox 153. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption or another security-relevant defect and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited. (CVE-2026-74990)

 - Internally found bugs present in Firefox ESR 140.13, Firefox ESR 153.0 and Firefox 153. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption or another security-relevant defect and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited. (CVE-2026-74987)

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox version 154.0 or later.
