Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Firefox ESR installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 140.14. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2026-76 advisory.

 - Use-after-free in the DOM: Core & HTML component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1. (CVE-2026-74944)

 - Site isolation issue in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 115.39, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1. (CVE-2026-74934)

 - Privilege escalation in the DOM: Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 115.39, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1. (CVE-2026-74935)

 - Use-after-free in the JavaScript: WebAssembly component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1.

 - Privilege escalation in the DOM: Navigation component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 115.39, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1. (CVE-2026-74939)

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox ESR version 140.14 or later.
