Unity Linux 20.1050e Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2026-099758)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 336853

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-099758 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

scsi: csiostor: Fix dereference of null pointer rn

The error exit path when rn is NULL ends up deferencing the null pointer rn via the use of the macro CSIO_INC_STATS. Fix this by adding a new error return path label after the use of the macro to avoid the deference.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
